Yesterday we asked you to vote yes to preserve the large network of town services that make Arlington a vibrant, friendly and supportive community. As we watched the results come in last night, we felt overwhelming gratitude at how you and others responded.
- 13,508 voters turned out
- 72% voted Yes
- The majority of voters in every precinct supported the override
Numbers like this take work and the dedication of volunteers, donors and supporters like you. Teams of canvassers in every precinct made the time to knock on doors and have conversations with neighbors about this ballot question. More volunteers made calls, texted and held signs around town on Friday and Saturday to get out the vote. Still others worked on mailings, data, volunteer organization, fundraising, community outreach, events, social media, our website and more. And of course, we are also grateful that our Select Board, School Committee and Finance Committee all voted to support the override.
We’re proud to have been a part of this campaign and to have had the opportunity to work with so many people who believe in our town. You made this possible for our community. Thank you for helping to keep Arlington strong.
With gratitude,
The Vote Yes to Keep Arlington Strong Team
